The Diamond Charitable Foundation Celebrates 10 Local Organizations Through One Grand Day
The Diamond Charitable Foundation is proud to celebrate 10 local charities who are making a meaningful impact in Southeastern Pennsylvania through its One Grand Day initiative.
Throughout December 2025 and January 2026, One Grand Day highlights and honors organizations that support the health and well-being of our community and environment. Each charity will receive a $1,000 donation in recognition of their important work.
The goal of One Grand Day is to bring attention to these organizations and inspire others to be involved in their community.
One Grand Day Recipients

Crime Alerts Berks County
Crime Alerts Berks County provides a space for community members to anonymously report crimes and leave tips for investigations. This organization also brings awareness to active investigations so there is more of a chance of developing leads to solve crimes.
Crime Alerts Berks County also provides two students pursuing a career in law enforcement with a scholarship every year.
Helping Harvest Food Bank
Helping Harvest collects, purchases, stores and distributes over nine million pounds of food annually to the more than 350 programs, which food insecure families utilize in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
Food provided by Helping Harvest supports several community programs including: food banks, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile markets, the Weekender Program, senior programs and Healthy Sprouts.
Julia’s Grace Foundation
Julia’s Grace Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports children and the families of children with cancer. They offer financial support to families struggling from paying for treatments through monetary grants. The organization’s goal is to help these families have days that are as normal as possible and to help kids be kids.
Julia’s Grace Foundation began with a little girl named Julia who was diagnosed with cancer at five years old. Julia had a giving spirit, and was known for the care she showed others even while battling cancer.
Literacy Council of Reading-Berks
The Literacy Council of Reading-Berks helps adults learn how to read, write and earn their high school diploma. Their mission is to help adults better communicate and contribute to their families, workplaces and communities.
Peyton Walker Foundation
The Peyton Walker Foundation provides CPR and AED training, and also donates equipment across the United States. The Foundation aims to educate parents and students about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the importance of Electrocardiogram testing for youth.
The Peyton Walker Foundation was created by the parents of Peyton Walker after she passed away from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
Pottstown Regional Public Library
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is a nonprofit organization that provides free resources and access to information to inform, instruct, inspire and promote lifelong learning.
Reading Education Foundation
The Reading Education Foundation provides opportunity and education support to students of all ages in the Reading Area School District. They do so by funding programs that go beyond the basics to inspire children and young adults to have ambition both in the classroom and in life.
The organization is currently working toward building a $5 million dollar endowment that will sustain future generations for years to come.
Schuylkill River Greenway Association
The Schuylkill River Greenway Association is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the preservation of the riverfront in Berks and Schuylkill counties. The organization relies on volunteers to help maintain the public trail systems that runs through Schuylkill, Montgomery, Chester and Berks counties and all the way to Philadelphia.
SCORE Foundation
The SCORE Foundation is a network of more than 10,000 volunteers that provide free mentoring, resources and education to aspiring entrepreneurs across the United States. The SCORE Foundation has helped more than 17 million people start their businesses since 1964.
Stretch the Ride
Stretch the Ride is a charity that provides support to people facing cancer in Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties. They support patients, caregivers and their families through the emotional and financial challenges of cancer treatment.

It allowed us to support a wide range of great causes that all fit our Foundation’s mission.”
